During the Winter any farmers get their livestock in over the Winter, for two reasons really. One would be as the snow covers the land there is very little to graze upon and another being that the do make a mess of the ground.
I have mentioned before that it is not very often that I use my camera in fog never mind freezing fog, as I am certain that it is no good for the lens or camera.
This ewe was probably the one that got away during herding, and if you know sheep, it probably was glad not to be in the warm and getting fed, my belief is that all sheep are suicidal. They will try anything to get themselves killed, using any opportunity to do so.
