This image took me quite some time to take. Every morning for about a week there was mist lifting up from the Escley Brook, but the sky was overcast and the lighting was lets say…….. less than brilliant conditions for taking photographs. On the sixth day, after waking early every morning waiting for the chance of the mist lifting and the sky being if even just a little better, I was amazed with the colours in the sky. Even better, this particular morning I was lucky enough that even the sheep were out enjoying the early morning sunrise.

I took this image from the fence of our garden when we were living near Urishay Common looking down towards the Escley Brook at about 4.30 am in the Summer months.

The sky does look a little like  it may have been enhanced in Photoshop, but I only processed this image with Photomatix to get the HDR final effect.
